Time from Nice airport to downtown

I am trying to set up a meet time for our apartment in Nice. We arrive at 12 noon and have to pick up our bags, clear customs and get a bus downtown. Can anyone give me an idea of how long that should take?

This does not really answer your question, but have you considered taking a taxi from the airport to your apartment? Unless you know that there is frequent bus service from the airport to your apartment, I think, for me, it would be too inconvenient for such a short distance, with luggage.

Also, and there are others here with much more experience than I, I don't really think of Nice as having a "downtown."
I think of Nice as a small busy city with neighborhoods. Where is your apartment?

And basically, the Nice airport is in the city.

What does the apartment owner/agency recommend as a time frame?

It depends what you call downtown, and Nice is large enough that you really need to give an address for someone to predict. I'm sure you can see on the map, the airport is right at the edge of the city, so it won't take long, but I've never taken a bus to someplace, just a taxi (from the airport). And then I'm sure someone could only answer once you got on the bus.

What bus are you taking? I think the bus schedules are online, actually.

here you go, as an example, 36 minutes from aeroport T1 to place Massena.

Take the airport bus unless your apartment is far away from the sea and the Promenade des Anglais. It was easy for us to take it to and from the airport with our luggage.

Our apartment is 3 blocks north of the Promenade des Anglais on Boulevard Gambetta. We were planning to take the# 98 bus, which I understand runs regularly from the airport along the Promenade, and then walk to the apartment. Using Christina's example, 45 minutes should be lots of time for that. Would an hour be enough to allow for baggage and customs and getting to the bus?
