There's no Place Like London: Part 1
I spent hours soaking up the vast knowledge imparted across the forums of Fodor's, and found that I received the most help from other people's trip reports while planning my own. So, to share the favor, I decided that I would post mine so that some other infantile travelers, like myself, might glean some helpful tips from the experiences of another.
Our trip included London, Paris, and Rome and was so glorious that it's almost difficult to put into words. But I decided to try anyways...
Here is "Part 1" in what I fear will be a multi-part series.

I like your enthusiasm Whitney. For stones without borders 
think about a trek to Avebury next time.
Btw you doubled the pic of Graham in Bath on your blog. As a fellow blogger, I know the seemingly endless editing it entails . . .

Lovely report and some really nice pictures.
One thing (for next time) >>Maybe next time we go, we'll fork over the big bucks and go on one of the limited tours that allows you to go inside the circle itself<<
No need to fork over big bucks (or £££). English Heritage operates the inner access Stonehenge visits and you can book w/ them w/o having to pay a tour operator. Only costs £16.30

Oh -- not nit picking but just for accuracy -- there is no 'London rule' re photos inside churches. Many (actually almost all) churches allow photography. It is just that Westminster Abbey and St Pau's don't. Westminster Abbey stopped allowing it maybe 10+ years ago and St Paul's more recently.

whitneyd86: I notice you've started a new thread for the next installment. It normally works better to have all the parts of a TR on the same thread. Otherwise folks have to skip around to find future episodes. Plus any responses to the TR would be fractured over several threads.

Kawh- in answer to your question...we went to Stonehenge with a tour group on a Thursday. It is my understanding that most tours go to Stonehenge early in the morning. Our tour (Premium Tours to be exact)went to Windsor, Bath, and then Stonehenge, so we ended up at Stonehenge by about 4 in the afternoon. It wasn't too busy, so we were pleasantly surprised! Perhaps that is the trick...to go in the afternoon, and not the morning! This was the only pre-booked "tour" that we took while in London. It was the cheapest way that I found that we could see all three places in one day. While it was rushed, and I don't feel like we had enough time at either Windsor or Bath, and I'm still glad that we did it! We were able to see all three places, so I was content.

Thanks for the comments! We stayed in Pimlico, in Westminster. We went with airbnb and stayed in a cute little flat on Gloucester Street. Here is this link to where we stayed.

Sorry...didn't answer your question on "how it worked out." While the flat was small, it was enough for our needs! It was very clean and the owner of the flat was very professional and easy to get a hold of. We loved having our own little kitchen to make breakfast in each morning, and store supplies for our daily picnic lunches. The flat was also perfectly located. Very central to all of the "sites" in London, but still tucked away in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We were within walking distance of two tube stops as well (Victoria and Pimlico). A great place to stay!
