The Very Best Hotel In Budapest?

I don't mean the 4 Seasons! I want location, a/c, my own WC & shower, and clean & safe. I have leg issues, (use a cane when I travel), so, I would rather not stay on the hilly side. Down is worse then up for me! And up's not fun either. I can do it to see sites, but don't want to be going up & down daily. I saw a hotel for 125 Euros. That's 180.00 USD. That would be the top limit I want to pay. Can someone help? Thanks in advance.

The Marriott is beautiful, right on the river and steps away from Vaci u, one of the shopping streets with lots of cafes. Or walk along the river south to the Central Market.

I was there two years ago and the Marriott was affordable, even the room service! Hurry before they go on the euro.

sorry! i obviously didnīt read all your request.. but was focusing on the first answer.!!

i also liked the marriot ex. apts. they were a good value, but we were in a 2 bedroom/2 bath, so it turned out VERY inexpensive. (125 euros for the APT with breakfast.)

Are you asking for "the very best hotel" in Budapest OR are you asking for a centrally located, reasonably priced Pest-side hotel?

If the latter, try:
1. the Marriott Exec. Suites (but only the top 2 floors -- below that level you may be looking into a courtyard. The top 2 floors have great views)

2. K + K Hotel, near the Opera

3. Starlight Suiten (suites), ditto.

The Meridien may also meet your price requirements in the off season

Thank you. The suites sound interesting, and so do the Marriott apts. We're going with my sister and BIL, so 2 bedroom, 2 bath would be perfect> Can I just google marriott executive suites Budapest? Thanks again.

Marriott Millennium suites -- on the Marriott.com site. I see their current weekend rate is 85 E.... plus 23 percent tax.

That's a weekend rate for 1 bedroom, BTW.

They include an ample, if rather plain, buffet breakfast.

the marriot apts for two couples sharing is an absolute bargain .

135 euros for the flat. includes simple breakfast.

the "living room" is tight, but it does have a small open galley kitchen.

tram stop nearby. walk to spoon café, and the other marriot is a few minutes walk along the river.

we were not on the top floors and one of the bedrooms had a side view of the gellert area bridge.

I agree, the Marriott Millenium Executive Apartments are great. Dh and I stayed there last summer before a rivercruise and it was very nice.Very convenient to everything, right next to the Liberty Bridge. It is within easy walking distance to everything including only 1/2 block to the Vaci Ute.

I priced the Marriott Exec suites for the 1st week in July. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath was very reasonable, but then I checked the K+K Opera and they have an even better early booking special going on. No 23% tax on the room, free brkf. and it gets great reviews too. Thank you for all your help. I always know I'll get the right tips here.
