The Rain in Spain and more
Hi Everyone,
We will be heading out on our trip and I had a few more questions. If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated. We will split time in Barcelona, Seville and Madrid.
1. We have booked Sagrada Familia and hope to see Park Guell, too in Barcelona. We wondered if it is possible/worth it to see both in the same day? We have tickets for SF in the am and were thinking to see Park Guess late afternoon until closing. Also, we usually do our own tour, but do you recommend we see the museum, too? And are there any suggestions about which site to book from? The Park Guell site did not seem to offer an option other than entry and guided tours. How much time should we allow there?
2. Can anyone recommend a good day trip from Seville by bus or train to see any nearby mountain towns? We will see Cordoba one day.
3. The weather I looked up was most depressing, seemingly calling for rain almost the entire time. I am now thinking of a light rain jacket, sad to say. Weather was in the 60s and lower at night. Can anyone suggest anything unique to see in any of the places indoors if the weather report is right? We plan to see Picasso's Museum, the Prado and perhaps Gaudi's museum, as per above.
Thanks...think sunny thoughts!

In Barcelona, if looking for something inside, get a pedicure at the AquaBliss Fish Spa. Little fishies nibbling your feet. Three of us went....it was fun, and we had amazingly soft feet afterwards!

As far as the weather forecasts go, I believe they're almost always more depressing than reality is. If there's any chance of a shower, the forecasts will always predict rain. Often it doesn't pan out.
We were in the Netherlands for a week and a half last month. For days ahead, whenever we checked, the weather.com forecast showed rain rain rain for every day we were planning to be there. With 80% chances and more. Even when we were there, the forecast called for rain the following day EVERY day.
Well, we had a short shower one day, and there was a rain event in the middle of one night - we only knew because it was very wet in the morning when we woke up. Other than that, we had a few cloudy days, most days were partly cloudy, and there were a couple very warm and sunny days.
That has been my experience on many other trips. Don't be discouraged - I bet you'll have some nice days!

Thanks for the responses y'all, and the hope for sun! We thought about Jerez...what would you recommend that we check out there? We have heard about the horses. So, does no one think there is a good hill town to check out from Seville? I like the fish spa nibbling at my toes...that is rather unique.
