Trip Report The next time I go to Paris, I will pay more attention to my Stairmaster:

Jump to last reply

Wow, if I knew how much walking and how many stairs in the Metro, I could have been in better shape!

We are a retirement-age couple, still working. Our travel companion was a life long female friend whose husband does not enjoy traveling. This was our first independent trip to a non-English speaking country. K (companion) had been to Paris once as a chaperone for a group of middle schoolers.

We did the usual preparation with guide books, Fodors reports and Trip advisor.

We stayed in Paris Perfect Pomerol apartment in the 7th, on the corner of Rue Cler and Rue de Grenelle.

Let me give you sort of a nonstructured stream of conscious report and then a day by day itinerary, as this type of report really helped me plan.
