The Luberon for 5 nights in May

Jump to last reply

As part of our Europe trip in May/June of this year, my boyfriend and I will be spending 5 nights in Provence. I have decided on the Luberon area as we really wanted to spend time in the countryside and explore the different villages. We will be hiring a car and would like to base ourselves at one place for the whole 5 nights so that we can feel a bit more settled instead of moving in and out of accommodation. Can anyone suggest a good base area? We will probably be staying in a B&B, or a self catering rental (I know the rental might be hard to find as it is only 5 nights). Also, we will be arriving via train from Lyon, would it be best to get the train to a big city such as Avignon and hire the car from there?
Thanks!
