The life and death of the Tour 13

It might be a bit cruel to show something that nobody will ever see again, but I thought it might be useful to show how alert one must be to capture brief events in Paris (or anywhere else) that can be absolutely breathtaking if you manage to happen upon them at the right time.

I will begin with the end for once, the destruction of the Tour 13: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgqE1uHGJ-A

But if you want to see what was inside and what you missed last October, here is the full report: http://tinyurl.com/kmkkdo5

What an extraordinary moment in art you have documented! Stunning, just stunning. The brevity of the exhibition certainly adds greatly to its impact. Bravo!

This is a compilation of some amazing work and I really appreciate that you took the time to immortalize it for those of us who would never be able to see it otherwise. Your pictures are truly amazing and really capture the artists work. I have to say your photographic journeys always inspire me to explore what is around me instead of just focusing on the list of sites in the newest guide book. Thank You!!

Thanks... but I miss so much stuff, too. One thing that I really hate is that the newspaper that I normally read tends to write a rave review about an event and then end the article with a comment like "today is the last day."
