The Balkans

I am spending four and a half weeks touring the Balkans this summer, starting off in Italy, hitting up Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro before departing from Istanbul. I'm looking all over the place for how I should spend my time. Has any been to these places and have some must see or do recommendations?

Slovenia: Ljubljana (beautiful little city), Piran (gem of a coastal town), Ptuj (nice well-preserved old down in the eastern part of the country).

Slovenia: Lake Bohinj (much larger lake than Lake Bled, only 30 minutes away by car; see both).

Croatia: Plitvice Lakes National Park: stunning scenery with numerous waterfalls and huge turquoise-colored lakes full of trout.

Croatia: The islands - Hvar, Korcula, etc.

Must sees always depend on the personal interests of People (some prefer monasteries and discoes, others art galeries and nudist beaches).

Croatia-you are planning your trip in the summer, so I suggest you to visit places and islands along the Adriatic coast. You can go see the biggest Adriatic islands-Krk and Cres. What I really liked there are beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea. I would also reccomend you to see Zadar-town in nothern Dalmatia. Zadar region is surrounded by 5 national parks that you can reach with car or boat. If you like to party go to Pag island, and if you like to enjoy the many cultural sites and events-don't miss Dubrovnik.

Slovenia-you can go see Triglav national park. I also suggest you to see Postojna cave-the largest cave in Europe-great experience, really worth a visit
You can also go to Bohinj lake where you can see beautiful waterfalls.
