That magnificent view/photo of Positano...where do you take the picture??
Okay, I have looked at hundreds of photos of Positano as I will be taking my husband there for his 40th birthday woo hoo!!
There is this particular view of Positano where the Duomo seems to be sooo close that it looks as though you are literally just a few feet away from it... The pictures that I have seen seems to be the Duomo is angled a little to the right side, then the beachsand to the left and straight behind the duomo are those magnificent sugarcube houses, and of course to the left is the blue coast. Where, oh where can I take this photo-op?
counting down the days...

Hi petite,
I think the view that you are talking about is essentially the view that you get from the Sirenuse, almost from any balcony or even from the dining room/pool area. If you are not staying there, you should at least try and have dinner on the terrace, you won't be disapointed!

Yes, I stayed at Le Sirenuse last year and that very view is framed on my desk at this moment. If you are not staying there you can walk through the lobby and out the french doors to take the picture or from the pool terrace.....
fantastic place!
Enjoy your visit, I'll be there again July 5-8th....can't wait!

hi petite, this is my first reply I just joined this fun world of travel talk so please be patient with me. I also was in Positano in Sept. 02, I stayed at hotel BUCA di BACCO, it right next door to the Duomo. I took the picture you are looking for from my balcony,it is hanging on my living room wall. I dont know where your staying, but this hotel was great and it is right next to the dock to catch the boats for day trips. Have a great time! '

my wife and i went to positano and fell inlove with it. we have been looking for a great photo to remember our favorite spot but haven't found a good one. is there any possibility that your photo is a digital one and that i could get a copy of. if so, please email me at [email protected].
