TGV ticket, 2 simple questions

Looking at our tickets I'm trying to figure which car we'll be in--can anyone tell me whether "coach 15" is aka car 15? Also, I read elsewhere that ticket validation is required but did not see mention of it in the information that came with the tickets. Can anyone confirm one way or other whether we need to validate our tickets before boarding. Tickets are Paris to Reims (return to Paris). Thank you!

Coach = Car

On the train platform you will see a diagram of how the train parks. It will help you find your coach.

If you have an electronic ticket -- that is, an e-mail you printed out -- just present it to the conductor on board the train. Photo id may be requested. Your passport will be fine.

If you have the regular ticket, look for a yellow box at the entrance to the platform. Validate your ticket by pushing it into the slot, then proceed to your coach.

You leave from Gare de l'est, "Paris East", station. Here are some photos to help you locate yourself:

These come from a very useful blog, www.parisbytrain.com, which explains Paris and national transport remarkably clearly, including screen grabs that walk the non-French-speaker through the SNCF/TGV reservation system.

coach 15 is car 15 (voiture 15)and then you can see your seats number(place assise 57 for ex). You can always validate (composter) your tickets if you are not sure at one of the small yellow machines near the platforms.
On the tickets I'm holding, I can see at the back "Compostez séparément lors de l'accès aux trains chacun des titres nécessaires à votre trajet en France et conservez-les jusqu'à la sortie de la gare" Validate your tickets separately before boarding and keep them until you leave the station. I'm not sure you have to do so with the printed tickets but I'm sure someone here will let you know.
Hope this helps and happy travels

The tickets that you print yourself are not to be validated in the machines.
