Texting in France
(I have T Mobile service, if that matters, with free international texting.)
I have a U.S. Phone number and am trying to text a French phone number. I cannot get the text to go through. I am not sure if I am putting in the phone number correctly or if there is another reason.
I was given the number as: 06 22 33 44 55
I have tried all combinations and the text won't go through.
Using +33. With and without the 0 etc
Can you help me?
Thanks.

Do you use google voice? It must be turned off for outgoing calls/texts. In the google voice setting set to "never use google voice to make any calls." Use the stock message application.
A phone, for outgoing calls/text purpose, behaves like a local phone. So within France, it should be just like a local would text the same number, 06 22 33 44 55.
While others mention +33 method always works, on some older phones, I had to force translate to 0033 to make it work in Europe. So it should be +33 6 22 33 44 55 or 0033 6 22 33 44 55.
