80%. I got some of the small Eastern European countries off. And I don't feel TOO bad that I placed San Marino off a little or wasn't far enough south for Malta. A fun test...I'd like to see how Europeans do putting the 50 states in their correct spots ;-)

84%. And I got all the baby countries first, which is SO unfair. Lichtenstein? San Marino? Malta? I was about 1000 miles out on these.
I would be terrible at placing US states, but Kert does have a point.

Yes, that's true, but so many Europeans like to mock Americans' knowledge of geography (although I wonder how well they would score on placing the little Eastern European countries), it would be interesting to see them try. Also, America is much more in the international news (i.e., Michael Jackson trial in California, GWB from Texas, 9/11 in New York, Disney World and hurricanes in Florida, etc.) than British counties...that gives them a running start.

84% - you're right - it's hard to know exactly where to position San Marino etc.
And I wold love to see the average American have to place the states (esp the ones that think New Mexico and Hawaii are foreign countries.)

"Mayby" . . . should be Maybe
Well, now that I see "Level 3" is part of the title, I went back . . .
My first time through I was presented with mostly smaller and Eastern countries first. I think I got 33 of 44 (75%) but I don't remember the mileage part. The second time I got more Western countries first, but I still don't know the Eastern ones well enough. Only improved my score by 4 countries to 84%. I need to travel more! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

93%, average error 18 miles....
but then i do live in the UK, so you'd hope so, really, wouldn't you?
difficult to place moldova and liechtenstein when there's nothing else on the map!
somewhere i once found a similar thing for US states. i was completely useless at it, but if i can find it again i'll post the link...

80% and 57 miles error, but I am from Asia ( Got 94% with a 31 mile error on Asia, I had Mongolia out ). Must say great fun, got caught on the San Marino, Andorra types, they have sections for all the world.
To the poster who asked about the US states yes, they do have one, here's the main worldwide menu
