TER Train Champagne-Ardennes to Reims - Reservation Necessary?

A friend has decided to meet me in Reims - I will be arriving via train from Basel and have already booked my train ticket. The last leg is Champagne-Ardennes to Reims and she would like to take this same train connecting from Paris CDG Airport. She was able to get that ticket on the SNCF website but cannot get the Champagne-Ardennes to Reims. We know this train exists as I have a ticket and a train number - and she can book it through Rail Europe (either the US site for $11 or the UK site for 1.50 pounds). I guess my question is whether she has to book ahead at all? Her train from CDG will get to the Champagne-Ardennes station an hour earlier than I arrive so she would have time to purchase the ticket then (or even at CDG) but I'm not sure if this train sells out (it is a regional (TER) train and we are traveling mid-day on a Thursday in March). Maybe she should just book it on the UK site and be done with it - not the US site though the upcharge is ridiculous.

Thanks for any insights you may have.
