Taxis in Prague

Jump to last reply

We will be staying in a private apartment in New Town in Prague near the museum for about a week - arriving in about six days from now. We are fond of walking and comfortable with using the public transportation systems, so will be able to get around on our own to see most of the sites within the city.

Wondering about late evening - if we decide to have a late dinner somewhere, I figure if we want a taxi, the restaurant can call one for us. But what about other times? What is the best way to get a taxi on one's own?

After our first week we will be moving from our rented flat to a hotel a bit further out of the center of the city - meeting up with some other travelers - and will need a taxi to transport our luggage. Is there a best way to arrange that? I imagine we can call a taxi company - is there one that is more highly recommended than others?
