Taxi from Manarola to La Spezia how to arrange this?
I will be in Manarola and need to get to La Spezia by 11 a.m. to pick up a rental car (place closes at noon). Is it possible to hire a taxi to get me to the rental car facility from Manarola to Downtown La Spezia. Do you know how long and possibly what the cost would be? Anyone have a line on a private driver in the CT area who might do something like this?

+3 Take the train. Then walk. La Spezia is not very big. You could quite easily walk to the center of town (it's bigger than Manarola but that's not saying much). There may be taxis at the train station in La Spezia, however, who could take you the short distance to the rental car location. My memory might be faulty, but Manarola is the farthest south of the cinque terre, so it is really just a short train ride. I stayed at a hotel in La Spezia for a couple of nights and took the train to the 5 lands. All the distances between the towns are quite short. I would guess the rental car place is near the train station too.
