Taxi from Athens Airport to Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre

We plan to take a taxi from the Athens Airport to the Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre, we will be taking the ride around noon time on a Saturday, and we have some questions:
1) As the hotel is right on the edge of the flat rate "taxi ring", does anyone know if it is considered within the flat rate ring?
2) Is flat rate 38 Euros?
3) For 3 adults, with 3 large suitcases (30 x 21 x 11 in, that is 76 x 53 x 28 cm)(one of the suitcases is smaller, medium size) and 2 carry-on bags (one regular and one smaller), can we fit in one taxi. Are taxi SUV or taxi vans available? Will they charge more?

The street it is on is the edge of the flat rate zone, so yes, should be included.
Daytime flat rate is 38 euros, that includes luggage, tolls, everything!
You should all be ok in one taxi, they take up to 4 passengers.

Taxis vary, Mercedes, Skoda, Peugeot & Toyota are the main ones, but that means the size & shape of the space available varies. They will get your luggage in, even if you have one, or two, of the hand baggage inside the car with you.
Don't worry, they do this all day, every day, they are used to all shapes & sizes of luggage!

There is no way 3 large suitcases and 2 carry on bags will fit in a taxi. No taxi driver is going to even try it, you will have to take 2 taxis.
There are no mini vans or SUV taxis in Greece.

We don't usually disagree Clausar, but I was going by the size given for 2 suitcases & one a bit smaller, pretty much the same configuration as when my Mum, brother & his girlfriend came to visit & they all arrived in one taxi
