taxi from apt in 17eme to CDG?
We head home in 5 or 6 days and will need to get a taxi from our apt in the 17eme to CDG. Problem is, we are loath to drag luggage up to rue de Clichy (nearest large street) and hope that a tax will drive by.
Is there a car-hire or taxi service we can call and book ahead of time?
Thanks so much.

I would arrange for a taxi. Taxi G7 is the principle operator:
English speaking operator 01 41 27 66 99
The fare from the Right Bank is fixed at 50€. There is an additional charge of 4€ to call a taxi, or an additional charge of 7€ to schedule a taxi.

This page gives you the info on the 3 largest taxi companies in Paris. I know you can book G7 online, also.

I would book ahead of time because I've had trouble getting through to G7 at the last minute (or else they couldn't send someone, I forget).
You should never just assume you are going to hail a taxi anywhere in Paris. It sounds like you don't know there are official taxi locations where taxis may wait for pickup. There is usually one around any major intersection with an RER/metro stop. There is a blue sign with TAXI written on it. There is one on the south side of place de Clichy on rue de Clichy (near the BNP bank). I wouldn't count on that as sometimes there aren't taxis waiting at them.

I've never had a problem with G7 Taxis.
Call or use their website in English.
They will send you an SMS specifying the make and color of the car that will pick you up at the requested time.
Be outside on the sidewalk about 5 minutes ahead of time.
It would be helpful if you know which terminal your airline departs from.
