We will be arriving in Kiev on 20 June and need information concerning hiring a taxi to get into the center of town. I have seen many different comments concerning the problems involved with doing this so would like to be prepared ahead of time.....any suggestions/comments would be appreciated....thanks, Bob Young

As soon as you come out of the arrival area you will be greeted by a "Taxi, taxi?" crowd - ignore them; you simply have to have somebody waiting for you. I don't want to recommend the guy I'm usually using, so the post doesn't look like an ad - there sure will be some suggestions or e-mail me.

for both a city tour and transfers. The fee is 260 UAH/each way, which seems reasonable to me (with a "peace of mind"). This will be for August,so I cannot tell you how it went.

Paul...I did look up Newlogics' web site and noted they did provide transportaion into town however when I tried to e-mail them my e-mail was returned with a note that the address given(info@newlogic.ua) was invalid. Do you have a better address?
