Taxi Fares
Can anyone give me a rough estimate of the cost of the a taxi from Naples to Minori? Also, if I decide to stay in Minori, how much are the taxi fares to the other local town - Positano, Amalfi, etc. Is a taxi the best way to get around? Or is the bus better? Thanks!

You would probably be better off hiring a private car for the trip to Minori. I haven;t done it but a taxi appears to be about 100 euros. As for traveling along the coast, obviously taxi will be more comfortable - but MUCH more expensive than taking the bus. (Depending on time of year buses may be sanding room only or not even room to get on at some stops.)
We love the area and have used a car there - but we went in May, when the traffic isn't so horrendous.

Naples to Amalfi is 130€ and Minori is further so it would be higher. Are you starting at the airport or train station?

If you don't mind the expense. -

We took a taxi from Naples to Sorrento last October to pick up our rental car and it was 100euro, and Sorrento is still some distance away so it might indeed be better to hire a car and driver.
We stayed in Minori too. I did see the people getting the bus and Minori isn't far from Amalfi where you could then take the ferry to Positano.
Will you be staying right in the town? We stayed in an agriturismo some way up the hill and I think the bus only went part of the way up which would have meant some walking uphill and down every day to get the bus. (and it was a real hike to get to our place from the road anyway)

Yes, Sorrento is 100€, but Minori is further. Here are the rates.

If starting at the airport, you can take the Curreri bus to Sorrento (10€) and change to a Sita bus (about 4-5€).
