While in Siena, we drove an hour to Montalcino and spent the morning at the fabulous Poggio Antico in Montalcino. The tour was fantastic and the Brunello even better! Highly recommend to others, here's a brief report with some photos from our day.

Very nice, Allison.
We had pranzo and some wine tasting there years ago--hard to beat.
Thanks for posting! Last week I booked a tour, tasting, and lunch at Poggio Antico for our trip next spring and this made me even more excited!
Can you tell me more about how the wine tasting was offered? It seems there are a range of wine selections and prices and I'm not sure how that works.
Thanks!
Hi Caze17. You will love your visit to Poggio Antico, it was a highlight of our trip! I believe the tastings were 5 euro for one tasting and 10 euro for three tastings. The tastings offered were the wines listed in my blog. I only wish we had ordered more bottles of wine to take home!
And thank you Bob, I believe you gave me great advice while I was planning my honeymoon!
Thanks for the additional details! Seems like if you are going to make the trip, you might as well pony up the extra euros for the additional wines to taste. Can't wait!
