Taking my nieces to Milan in December

Jump to last reply

My two nieces (in their mid 30s) and I are going to Milan in early December. Milan, because we are flying on buddy passes and it seems to be the least busy destination from NY, aside from Dublin and Frankfurt.
Then we will have to fly out of Frankfurt to go back to NY.
I have a list of sights to visit in Milan but can someone kindly give suggestions on where to go for day trips outside of Milan? Our trip will be from Dec 5 to Dec 10.
I figure we can fly to Frankfurt for the Christmas Market on Dec 9 and fly back to NY on Dec 10th.
Thanks in advance.
J
