Taking a group to Istanbul: need advice

Jump to last reply

Dear Experts on Istanbul,

I'll be taking a group of 15 Swiss adults to Istanbul the first week in May 2015. I'm still in the preliminary stages of planning. Because I'm working through a travel agency (due to the logistics and financial dealings with group travel), I have been given a quote on two hotels:

- The Ottoman Park Hotel In Sultanahmet
- The Best Western President in Sultanahmet

A bit about my group: we know each other well and have travelled many times together. We don't need luxury but a good night's sleep, a nice breakfast and clean, quiet rooms. I've asked for a rooftop terrace so we can enjoy evening drinks or breakfast with a view.

Could you help me to choose one of the above hotels? I'm leaning towards the Ottoman because it's smaller and cosier but I believe both hotels would fit my needs.

Thanks in advance for your advice!
