Greece or Portugal are good values.Croatia or Slovenia?
2nd Croatia or Slovenia. Budapest, Hungary might be another alternative.
Portugal is easy to get to from NY and will be quite warm. It's also very very cheap.
I agree--Portugal !
Tx much guys, where in portugal u think is best for going solo? Nightlife, beaches, and not expensive. Maybe asking too much but really like to get out of uS for bit and notcost me alot tx
For only a week, see Lisbon, Sintra, and Evora---all easy to access from Lisbon. Get a good guide book.
Sintra and Evora do not have any nightlife nor beaches so you would be disappointed in them. Both towns shut up by 7:00 - no one on the streets. Sintra was my very favorite place; it's beautiful and has some great sightseeing. It's only a half hour from Lisbon on the train so very accessible for a day trip or overnight. Trains are cheap in Portugal - a 2 hour ride to Evora only cost E10.
I guess Lisbon would be best for nightlife and you can access beaches from there.
