hello!! I have been looking for a post that answers this question but I have not found any.
My fiance and i are planning our wedding in Amalfi (yes i know the "legal" one can't be in italy unless we do a TON of paperwork) It is going to be just the 2 of us, no reception just go out for a great dinner.
I have been trying to find a spot and a officiant for our ceremony but can only find wedding planners that charge 1,000 right off the bat!
Any ideas on how or where we can find someone to preform our ceremony?
Thanks!

I've never understood the symbolic ceremony with no guests. Why do you need an officiant or a wedding planner? What's to plan? Couldn't you just pick some breathtaking spot and speak vows to each other that you've written yourselves? Personally, I would find this infinitely more meaningful.

Hi, I planned my daughter's wedding in Positano. I think there may be a couple of hotels in Amalfi that have a private chapel you can use, so they can probably find someone. Hotel Caterina would probably arrange it for you. That way, you would be spending your $$s on a great room rather than a wedding planner. I just did a search and Grand Hotel II Saraceno has a chapel and Hotel Luna Convento has a chapel too. Have fun planning the wedding!
