Sylvester in Berlin without breaking the bank

Jump to last reply

We will be in Berlin for the week between Christmas and New Years and are looking for a low key (no street parties or hugely crowded events wanted) and somewhat reasonable way to enjoy the evening.

Our hotel is the Melia Berlin in Mitte and we were thinking perhaps a cruise on the Spree where we could watch the fireworks and festivities from a less crazy perspective.

I checked out the restaurant at the Reichstag but it is well over our budget at 750E.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I am in touch with the concierge at our hotel and he tells me that dinners/events will be put on sale in July and will fill very quickly.

Thanks.
