sylvenstein road in Bavaria

Jump to last reply

We will drive next summer from pertisau in Achnsee to somewhere not far from Legoland for a night so we could go to legoland early morning with around 1.5 hour of driving.

I saw this picture…

And wondered if:

- is it worth and beautiful to drive on sylvenstein road? Or maybe it's nice only when see it from above?

- is there a place to stop to admire the view? Special coffee shop or cable car to admire the view?

- is the road not too narrow, I mean for cars from both ways and not driving on cliffs etc, I mean not on the edge

- is it on the way from Achensee or a big turn?

- any other suggestions for the way or nice villages/attractions nearby?

We will drive with children and would like a lot of stops on the way. Also we would do not like to drive on too narrow (I.e. One car path only for both directions and not on the edge..) but like scenic roads.
