Switzerland for 8 days - self guided, first time visiting

Hello, fellow travellers,
I am a 30 year old teacher that is looking to visit Switzerland for 8 days. I need some help with my itinerary. I will purchase a SwissPass for trains. I want to see a little bit of everything: the cities, the villages, take a scenic train ride, gaze at the mountains, explore the castles.
Fodor's guide suggests the following itinerary:
Zurich - 1 night
Luzern - 2 nights
Lauterbrunnen - 1 night
Zermatt - 1 night
Geneva - 2 nights

Thoughts? I particularly want to see the nature and the mountains. So, I am thinking to cut Geneva to 1 night and add one night to Lauderbrunnen? Thank you! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
