Swiss Travel Pass & currency

Hi,
I am from India, travelling to Switzerland on tourist Visa in June first week.

Have some queries and looking forward to your help

1. Is it better to buy Swiss Travel pass from India before landing or at Zurich station upon landing?
2. Do we need any vaccination records for entering the country?
3. Do I need to endorse the currency I am carrying?

Thanks

I would buy at the airport station on arrival.

you should look on the Swiss Government web site for this information

Again refer to the official website. If you are carrying more than 10,000 euro or the equivalent you will need to declare it. Otherwise no

What are you travel plans - Swiss Pass may not always be the best deal though often is - check these sites for lots on Swiss trains and passes: www.budgeteuropetravel.com; www.ricksteves.com; www.swisstravelsystem.com.

For example the Swiss Transfer Ticket if going to one place from a border station or airport station to that place and then heading to any border station or airport after you've done with that place plus the 50% off half-fare card could be a better deal than the Swiss Pass.

sometimes -like in the U.S. often prices have been cheaper for the same pass than in Switzerland but not always - you may check with www.raileurope-world.com and see what they charge vs in Switzerland - if not much cheaper just buy upon landing - at any train station - just show your passports.

For pass prices in Swiss francs in Switzerland check www.sbb.ch - Swiss Railways official site - figure in any fees foreign transactions may incur to the total price - no reason to order early is buying in Swiss francs - just pick up at any station.
