Not sure what this has to do with roads - looks like Customs/ import/Export to me.

Are these parts for your own use? Or is this a commercial enterprise - which probably would require paperwork?

If the goods are in transit (i.e. Switzerland is not their final destination) they should not pay dues, but I suspect there are some forms to fill.

Do make sure you have a sticker to use the Swiss motorway system.

I have no idea if you need paperwork or not, but since Switzerland is part of Schengen and you are transiting to Italy it is doubtful you will be stopped. If it is a commercial shipment then you undoubtedly need paperwork for Italy and that should be enough to get you through Switzerland too I would have thought. You need to contact an expert in such matters, rather than a travel forum to be sure.

Switzerland is within the Schengen zone. That means free entry of persons, but not of goods. If you enter commercial goods into Switzerland you must at least declare them. You will most probably have to pay an entry tax that you will get back when you leave the country with the same goods.
Have a look at

The parts are to maintain cars on a charity car rally so not for retail sale. I just wondered if any one had ever had a problem passing through. Thanks gareth
