Summer Language Programs in Germany

Hi! I'm interested in taking a teen summer program with the Goethe Institut, has anyone experienced this program? I think it's a little pricey but it does come with a room and several other features that one has to find on their own such as food and housing, etc. Are there any other programs that are similar to the Goethe Institut and fairly cheaper?

The Goethe Institut is the very best that you can get. Like Mercedes when it comes to cars. It is government-funded, so the prices are fair and the quality is excellent.

I've attended several Goethe Institutes over the years. I agree with traveler that it's the best.

I loved getting to know people from all over the world and experiencing several charming German towns.

Hi Neonsick,

I've also attended a Goethe course, 2 weeks in Dresden, and recommend it highly. Planning to take another one this coming summer, probably in Schwäbisch Hall.

I attended the four week intensive course at the Goethe Institut in Dresden and also recommend it highly (it even has its own tram stop ) The one in Dresden serves a very inexpensive breakfast that a lot of students take advantage of and has a ping-pong table and other games that the students played during breaks. (And I think you will enjoy it more in summer -- I attended in December and the place was barely heated, brrrr)
