Sulov?
I plan on taking an Eastern Europe trip next year for 2-3 weeks and want to include Sulov in my trip. I plan on taking a day trip from Krakow since it is only about 70 miles away,. Is it an easy drive or are there lots of back roads and dirt trails which are very time consuming. Is this a reasonable trip? Thanks!

A fellow Fodorite indicated that you were asking some Solvakia directions so I came across your question....since I've driven quite a bit around Slovakia, especially when it was part of the CZ. But I have pics shortly after the split.
Sulov is closer to 100 miles one-way from Krakow..very mountainous the closer you get to Bytka/Zilina area...roads seem to be well-maintained and paved. Signage is "iffy"..but you ahouldn't have any trouble. It would be a very tiring and diffcult day trip from Krakow...try two days (one for some beautiful climbing or sight-seeing in the area). I will post my Slovakia pics below). Depending on the time of year, there can be snow, lots of it in the Tatras (see pics taken in early spring)
