Suggestions for B&Bs, homey places to stay near Lerici and Piedmont area

Husband and I are starting our trip September 20 in Florence Italy then traveling west by car through Lucca then north along the coast, eventually going through France to Spain mostly by train. We would like to spend 1-2 nights near Lerici or a Cinque Terre town, then 4 nights somewhere near Acqui Terme to explore the Piedmont area. We would like a farm house, or B&Bs or small cottage. We enjoy interacting with the hosts and other guests, good home cooked food and drinking wine together. Any suggestions. After that We plan to take a train from Genoa to Nice unless there is a better suggestion. We are a little late planning this so would appreciate any help that is offered.
