Suggestions for a good Conversational French CD

Hello;

Does anyone have suggestions in French Tutorial Cd's. I have one from years ago but it spends a lot of time concerning ordering a ham sandwich!!! I think I need to concentration on basics ....
I was able to "hold my own" in Old Quebec but I've heard that the French spoken in Quebec is not "modern"???

Thanks for suggestions - Cindi

Hi, Cindi. Pimsleur CDs are all spoken, uses a lot of repetition to get you comfortable with basic phrases.

The Michel Thomas series is incredible. There are two sets, a basic (3 cds I think) and a deluxe (8 discs). The basic would give you what you need to get by.

Living Language Ultimate French (and other languages) are the best language CDs and books on the market for the self-taught language learner.

Another vote for Michel Thomas, I found it fun to learn with his cd's. I used both his and Pimsleur.
