Hi! will be travelling in August, please advise cheaper ways of travel between Dusseldorf and Amsterdam.Checked Ryanair not sure if they operate that route.

You now have 2 threads asking the same thing. Please be sure to check responses to both threads.

Yep adrienne I did so- will continue this one for transport queries and the other one for accomodation/itinerary requirements.

Am getting around E 33.80, anything lesser than this?

I'm not sure how you'll get any recommendations for accommodations, etc. on your other thread when it's asking for the cheapest way from Dusseldorf to Amsterdam and nothing about accommodations. After all...people are not mind readers.

I gave you a web site on your other thread.

Oh I just realised that this thread was duplicated! Apologies and thanks for highlighting. (Just asked the viewers to ignore that one and can respond here)

Actually, I have another thread ongoing for itinerary help.
I thought you are refering to that.

Got your website thanks! But did check bahn already!

I picked a random date in August, and got €29 as the cheapest train journey.
I doubt Ryanair could beat that even if they flew the route.

I used www.nsinternational.nl for it, but DB will make more sense for you to use.

Also the train takes about two and a half hours - you'd spend that time just at the airport before even seeing a plane.

Ryanair doesnt run that route so I am prefering train too. And you are right nsinternational is giving me the cheapest fare so far.

Checked DB,costs higher E 33.80

Well 33 euros is pretty cheap for a trip that long. What kind of price are you looking for?

Just go to German Railways www.bahn.de/en

Ask it for Dusseldorf to Amsterdam Centraal.

Fares from €29 and you print your own ticket.

Job done!

Thanks just booked it!!

Could you also suggest about booking trains from Amsterdam to Brugge/Ghent? (DB - doesn't seem to pull up the fare since, for connections outside of Germany, a special ticket is required. These offers are not bookable via the internet).

Or is there a bus that I could take?
