Suggestion on how to find vacation villa in Lake Como other than VRBO?
I'm looking for a family vacation villa rental in Lake Como area. Have used VRBO but would like to see additional possibilities that were successfully used by this astute group of travelers.

Simply Google "vacation rental Lake Como," and be sure you have plenty of time on your hands.
The truth is, most owners use VRBO because of the high-volume of web traffic, even if a villa owner has invested in his own website. Some villa owners use their own website to attract business, and they do not list their property with one of the popular sites. This type of villa owner tends to be renting a luxury property, and some luxury properties are managed my high-end real estate agents.

Several of the above URLs are owned and managed by the same person. There's tons of redundancy in this game, because customers always "search," hoping to find something new.
Many vacation rentals are owned by the same person(s), and these same people own and manage these websites. Investing often means multiple properties in a popular area, and multiple websites make it look like "more" interest.
