Suggestion for a short stop during drive from Rothenburg to Fussen on A7

Jump to last reply

This is our first trip dedicated exclusively to Germany so there are many places we want to see during our 3 week stay.

On one day our drive (between accommodations in Rothenburg and Fussen) takes us about 200 miles along A7. I'm wondering if we will be passing near/through any cities or towns that would make a good 2-3 hour detour from the drive. While researching in travel books I thought perhaps Ulm or Augsburg, which I know are large cities. I don't know if there are any small towns close to the A7 where a short stop might enhance our "Germany Experience" ;;)

I'l like to know if you have a favorite place to stop along this route. As always, I appreciate your suggestions. Thank you, Deborah
