Stresa vs. Mid-Lake Como vs. Lugano or Other???
Sudden change in plans means we will have three nights in early July after attending opera performances in Verona.
We have been to mid-Lake Como and enjoyed it. We are wondering if we should try staying in Stresa or Lugano for three nights or perhaps elsewhere (Turin came up as a possibility, too)
We don't want to repeat the Lac Leman thing (we've done Lausanne, Geneva, Montreux and enjoyed them all).
Veg by the lake seems to be taking hold in our minds
After the three nights we have to be in Fribourg and will be taking the train to do so.
Suggestions appreciated. Won't have or want a car.
