Stranded in Provence. Need hotel recommendations for Lille.

Hello. Like so many others we're stuck in France (there are clearly worse places) and will travel to Lille tomorrow to reach the Eurostar to get back to the UK. We leave Lille early on Tuesday morning and were wondering if anyone had any recommendations for breaking the journey tomorrow night (Troyes has been suggested???) and for staying in Lille on Monday night, preferably not too far from the Eurostar station? Our budget is under 100 euros for the room for this unplanned additional adventure.
Thanks very much.

Are you traveling by car or taking trains to Lille?

Hello. We are driving from Marseille to Lille tomorrow and hope to break the journey tomorrow night. We leave Lille (on the Eurostar) really early on Tuesday morning.
Thank you.

I've heard that hotels around Lille are really packed because so many are trying to to the Eurostar to London. At this point, I'd try venere.com to see about availability near there with your budget, then start calling.

Then Troyes would be an excellent choice. It's right on the most direct route, is a little over halfway to Lille, and is a lovely city with gorgeous half-timbered houses and an old quartier that was completely spared damage in the great wars.
