Stockholm Hotels: Hotel Rival vs Hotel Skeppsholmen?

Jump to last reply

I would appreciate any first hand comments regarding these two hotels. In particular,
what category of room did you stay in? How convenient was the access to the typical tourist areas (Skansen, Gamla Stan, Royal Palace, Stockholm Central)? How was the breakfast buffet? What was the noise level (and what was your room facing?) Also, Hotel Rival is said to have "windows" into the bathroom from the bedroom with blinds. Do these blinds afford any privacy to the person using the bathroom? What about allowing for one person to sleep in while the other is showering? Do the blinds block the light from the bathroom?
RE: Hotel Skeppsholmen -- Are you able to walk (via a pedestrian bridge?) to other areas of the city or must you take the ferry everywhere? Are there other restaurants or points of interest on the island on which the hotel is located?

Since these two hotels meet my other criteria, I am most interested in them but open to other recommendations. Thank you!
