Our family of four (including two teens) will be driving from Cassis to Nice in August and have one night to spend between before a mid-morning flight from Nice. Would you recommend staying in Antibes or Nice?

Smecky, I would suggest Nice for many lovely reasons including that it is sooooo near the airport. Enjoy....
Another vote for Nice. Downtown area is only about 15 minutes (maybe less) from the airport. Lots to see, many good restaurants, lovely promenade. And you only have one night?!
The one place in this wide world I would never VISIT AGAIN IS ANTIBES. The reason for this is so gross, that I am reluctant to put it on this site.
