Stansted Express Tickets - Advance Purchase
Hello -
Husband and I will be in London early next year and I've been starting to look at the transportation in London. I've checked Stansted Express and saw their advance purchase offer of 30 euro for 2 RT tickets from Stansted to Tottenham Hale?
Is this a good price already or are there are other offers that might be coming up?

dunno where you see €30 but this the rail operators site and this offer is likely to be as good as you will get

Where do you get a £30 RT fare for two? On the website a standard class return (round trip) is £32 so it would be £64 for two.
Express coaches to Victoria costs just £10.50 or £9 depending on which service you use. The takes longer but would save you £40+ and you wouldn't need to schlepp you bags from train to tube at Tottenham Hale.

If that price is correct ie 15 euro each for returns from Stansted Airport to Tottenham Hale, then yes it is a good one. I suspect that'll be one way though or return but for one person only. Current advance fare into London from my local station (including tube travel admittedly) is over £30 per person and I am two stops nearer to London than the airport, on the same line.

The £30 Web Duo offer you've seen is a different ticket from normal British Advance railway tickets.
It IS non-changeable - but it's not specific to any time of day, so you needn't worry (much) about a delayed flight. It's highly unlikely (going on close to impossible) you'll find a better offer on a train- but there's no need to book any earlier than 30 days before your journey.

Use the bus. It's may take slightly longer, but it's much cheaper and you have the advantage of seeing a bit of East London too - including the site of the 2012 Olympics. Plus you'll have the advantage of not lugging your bags off at Tottenham Hale to buy an Oyster Card / Tube ticket for your onward journey. On our last trip to London we used Terravision to Liverpool Street. A good service and about half the price of the trains. More details here -

If you're staying near Victoria, there are buses that go to Victoria Coach Station. Cheaper and less hassle with luggage than the tube/train combination, and the coach station is only a shortish walk to the apartment. But the journey will take longer.
