My sister is getting married in two months and I am desperately trying to help her plan her honeymoon.
Here's the plan - so far, we have her and her fiancée stopping off in Helsinki, to take the ferry to St. Petersburg. She wants to stay in St. Petersburg for one night, but then they will need to get from St. Petersburg to Berlin. They will have only 4 days from when they land in St. Petersburg to when they need to be in Berlin (on the fifth day). In other words, this is my long winded way of asking - what is a pleasurable, interesting, and romantic route from St. Petersburg to Berlin? Any hotel, restaurant (both four or five star), tour, etc. tips would be greatly appreciated!

Not that St P isn't wonderful (I was just there) but she might consider whether it really makes sense as the ferry takes overnight and a Russia visa is required even if you to to Russia just for one night. (Consider where you are from but for a US visitor a Russia visa costs $250 per person by the time you pay the consulate fee and the essentially required agent fee.)
Any reason she wouldn't fly from Helsinki to St P (FinnAir flies direct) and stay the 4 or 5 nights in St P and then fly to Berlin? St P is a romantic city on its own. (And Berlin is one of my favorite cities so I would consider spending more time there too.)
I agree w/ lauie_ann. A long ferry and a Russian visa, all for just one night in St Petersburg?? Just doesn't make sense to me.
And why Helsinki? - where are they getting married/flying from?
Maybe just go straight to Poland and do Poland and Berlin - OR - stick to St P and then fly to Berlin from there.
I do know I wouldn't faff about w/the visa for just an over night (I know folks on cruise ships do that all the time, but this is a different situation)
Do they have specific places/reasons for those 4 countries?
Staying in St Pet for 1 night makes no sense. Either stay there several days and then fly to Berlin (so the can see something of St Pet) - or just go from Helsinki to Berlin (where they will at lest 4 ays to se much of anything).
