SR222 Chiantigiana Road Most Scenic
We will be on the SR222 from Greve to Castellina. You read a lot about this stretch but not too much about it from Castellina to Siena. Is it just as "scenic" as Greve to Castellina? Are there stretches of SR222 that are scenic than others? We will spend the night in Castellina then leave Radda the next day to Pienza. We're trying to determine the most scenic drive to Pienza from Radda whether it's the SR222 or not. Thanks.

Like socialworker, I can't rank the scenery on different roads, but we did think the views on SR222 (and SR68 through the Val d'Elsa to Volterra) were wonderful.
But I would think about where you might like to stop along the way rather than limit yourself to a strict route. In that regard, I highly recommend seeing Abbazia di Monte Oliveto Maggiore between Asciano and Buonconvento. The abbey is closed noon to 3:00p.
