Spontaneous GTG Madrid, tomorrow, Thanksgiving 6:30 pm Thyssen café?

I will be in Madrid , at the Prado from 4:15 to see the Hermitage collection. If anyone posts here i would be happy to share a cup of coffee afterwards on such a special day!

I suggest the Thyssen café, but anywhere else nearby is fine with me.

I don't arrive until 2:20pm, so I'll have a quick bite somewhere, so earlier doesn't really work for me. Friday/Saturday I can't.

Hope to hear from someone. Cova.. you around? Would love to meet you!

Lin,
I could make it from 18:00 onwards (make it 18:30 to be sure, because I work outside of Madrid).

There is a lovely patisserie called Mama Framboise in Fernando VI, near the Salesas area. It´s away from the Thyssen, but not so far away. You could get a bus from the Prado up to Recoletos, and then just cross the street and go up Barbara de Braganza.

Bye, Cova

Sweet of you to try to come in to meet. Let's work on an easy place. I will have a small suitcase dragging behind. Keeping the following in mind.. just tell me where to go.

I am later going to teatro canals to a ballet probably or getting out to my friend's place near the airport if they decide we can't go to the ballet for some reason.

Is near Teatro canals more convenient to you as I probably need to get there later.

Want to go to the ballet? It 's an Italian company and they are doing a piece that won a choreography prize. 8:30 pm., but I'll need to be there at 8 to get tickets if we are going.

Hi jelopez33! Nice weather your part of the world? Winter is around the corner here.. sometimes!

Hi Lin,

I don´t think I´ll be able to join you for the ballet. I get up too early in the morning, and on top of that, I´m having a silly cold. My friends are going to see the Wayne McGregor choreography in the Sala Verde, and I´ll miss it ... too.

I have checked the CTM website, and there is a bus, nr 37, that stops right by the Prado and goes up to the Teatros del Canal. It stops at Salesas on its way, and you could be at Mama Framboise in 15 minutes more or less. I could get there, grab a table, and wait for you. Below you can see the itinerary recommended by CTM, Madrid transport.

Bye, Cova

cathies.. i wish I could tell you with certainty the SIZE of my "mil hojas" . I'll try to take a guess. About 1 inch wide and 2.5 inches long. No guilt trip at this café, let me tell you. It was about the size a a thin man's thumb!

This café is darling; a beautiful place to relax. Loved the neighborhood. Cova knows her areas.. and it is very convenient to the center and the Castellana.
