Spending 3 days in Lugano
We are planning on staying 3 days in Lugano in October, and from there make day trips to Lake Como and Lake Maggiore,so it would be 1 day for Lugano,1 for Como and 1 for Maggiore. Is this possible?. Or from them which one is the best if have to choose from 2
Thank you in advance, need help deciding

Mid October is a bit late, as there can be some fog over the lakes, especially in the morning.
Lake Lugano boats run until Oct 20th, those on Lake Maggiore until Oct 13th. As to Lake Como, it's not yet clear whether tey will end at Oct 20th or Oct 27th.
The ferries across the lakes (Locarno - Magadino, Menaggio - Bellagio - Varenna, Arona - Angera and Laveno - Intra) run very frequently all tthe year round.
All trains and buses run very frequently all the year round, those between the lakes too:
Lugano - Ponte Tresa
Pone Tresa - Fornasette - Luino (Lake Maggiore)
Ponte Tresa - Ghirla - Luino,
Ponte Tresa - Ghirla - Varese
Varese - Laveno (Lake Maggiore)
Lugano - Giubiasco - Cadenazzo - Locarno (Lake Maggiore)
Bellinzona - Cadenazzo - Luino - Laveno - Gallarate
Locarno - Ascona - Brissago - Verbania Intra
Lugano - Menaggio (Lake Como)
Lugano - Chiasso - Como (Lake Como)
Como city bus Chiasso - Como
Como - Arcegno - Menaggio - Colico.
In Octoer, the mountains around the lakes are often the best choice for day trips (clear view to the Alps from Mont Blanc - Gran Paradiso - Matternorn up to Bernina and Ortles):
Monte Generoso: cog railwy
Monte San Salvatore: cablecar
Monte Bre: cablecar
Monte Lema: gondolas
Monte Tamaro: gondolas
Monte Campo dei Fiori: cablecar
Brunate: cablecar plus bus to San Maurizio
Sasso del Ferro: gondolas
Monte Mottarone: big gondola
Cardada: cablecar plus gondola
Piancavallo: bus
Alpe Neggia: bus
Carona: bus
Pigra: gondola
Plesio: bus
