Spending 1st Anniversary in Paris...suggestions?

Hi!
We are spending 4 nights in Paris in mid-September for our 1st wedding anniversary. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what to do? I would like to surprise my husband with something special, but I don't want to spend a ton (unless of course it's something I'll never forget). Any suggestions would be very appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hi H,

I can think of a few surprises that don't cost any money.

Mind giving us some hints as to what you have in mind?

Whether those surprises will be something she never forgets is a topic for another message board.

Hi hinchicago,

Well....Paris is amazing. Is your husband aware that the Eiffel Tower has a light show every hour starting at 10pm? If not, then you could take him up the tower at about 9:45, and then be there together as the lights go on. It's really amazing to see!
Or how about surprising him with dinner reservation on the Eiffel tower. There are 2 restaurants on the tower, one on the 1st floor and one on the 2nd floor. Take a look at this site: http://www.tour-eiffel.fr/teiffel/uk...sto/index.html

Hope you have a great trip and make some great memories!

If I were this lucky guy I would want one of those surprises to be a night-time boat trip on the Seine AND it doesn't cost a ton! A hotel with a view of the Eiffel Tower would also be great. Have a marvelous time. Just about anything you do in Paris will be great. Best wishes.

Dear h in chicago
Would recommend dinner cruise on the Seine River on the Bateau-Mouche. Three hours. Departs about 8:30PM Not too expensive and memorable. You get to see some of the main attraction all lit up at night as you cruise the river and enjoy dinner .

I vote for dinner at the Eiffel Tower in either the Jules Verne restaurant (expensive) or Altitude 95 (less expensve). I think this would be very romantic.

As a note, reservations are a must and can only be called in or faxed. They do not take email reservations. It is easy enough to do but usually requires weeks/months ahead. So if you decide to do this, call or fax ASAP.

Have fun!
