Spain with Toddlers Itinerary Revised - Looking for Suggestions!

Ok so I have revised our itinerary slightly and am looking for advice. We really are set on the length of time we want to spend in Barcelona. I figure we can do a couple of day trips if we want to get out of the city so here it is now.

Day 1: Barcelona
Day 2: Barcelona
Day 3: Barcelona
Day 4: Barcelona
Day 5: Barcelona
Day 6: Barcelona
Day 7: Barcelona
Day 8: Barcelona
Day 9: Fly to Granada
Day 10: Granada
Day 11: Granada
Day 12: Bus to Malaga (I am open to suggestions if there are better places to stay on the coast that are not a long bus ride from Granada)
Day 13: Malaga
Day 14: Malaga
Day 15: Malaga
Day 16: Train to Seville
Day 17: Seville
Day 18: Seville
Day 19: Train to Cordoba
Day 20: Cordoba
Day 21: Train to Madrid
Day 22: Madrid
Day 23: Depart Madrid

Looks much better to me!

Be sure to reserve your visits to the Alhambra as soon as you can.

Enjoy!

Relatively small Nerja (pop 22 000) is a closer to Granada alternative along the coast to "big city" and very genuine Malaga city (pop 500 000+).

Nerja has got all the amenities that makes it popular with tourists, but it has still retained some of the traditional Andalucian small town charm, especially in the Old town. Malaga city is one of my favourites in the South, but you are visisting many - although quite different - cities of more or less the same size, so Nerja might be an alternative. http://www.nerjatoday.com/

But Malaga city is great! The article "Málaga, Spain - Secret Spanish pleasures" gives you an idea:

Dont go swimming in the sea in Nerja. There is no sewage treatment plant and when the tide wand winds work well you end up swimming in the poo. YUK!
