Spain & Portugal Honeymoon in January
Hey... we are planning a honeymoon in Spain and Portugal in January 2016. Considering that it will be pretty cold in the north of the country, we are mainly focusing on the south.
The proposed itinerary is as follows:
Barcelona - 3 days (half day trip to Montserrat if practical)
Seville - 4 days (day trip to Cadiz and another one possibly to Ronda if practical)
Granada - 2 days
Cordoba - 2 days
Lisbon - 3 days
Would be great to get some feedback and suggestions on our proposed itinerary.
Also, suggestions for neighborhoods to stay in Seville, Granada and Cordoba would be great - would prefer areas which are within walking distance (via well-lit and non-isolated roads till about 11 pm) from good tapas / restaurant hubs.
Thanks a ton!

Thanks.
Am planning to book Barcelona to Seville via flight (Ryanair).
Once we are done with Andalucia - we could take an overnight bus from Seville to Lisbon for the last leg of the trip.
Not super keen to drive long distances given that we are used to driving on the left hand side of the road

The weather in Barcelona tends to be comfortable in January because of the Mediterranean influence, but it will be a little cooler in Cordoba. Granada isn't that much different in January, and if you ski, there is good skiing in the Sierra Nevada. Lisbon will be a little warmer, but Madeira will be the warmest destination in January.

Do you very much want to see Lisbon? We had three days in Lisbon (including Sintra) and it really was not enough. We didn't really enjoy the city partly because we didn't have enough time to really get to know it. It's a big city and very hilly, so you need to use the public transportation, which takes some time to figure out. That said, I wouldn't take any time off the other places you mention - you need the number of days you have planned. Since Lisbon is a bit far away, and there are other interesting parts of Portugal to see, you might consider saving Portugal for another trip.
If you are set on Lisbon, I think your itinerary looks practical (assuming you have factored in travel time between the cities. If the days you have listed include travel time, then I think you may feel a bit rushed). And I think IMDonehere is correct that Ryanair flies out of an airport outside of Barcelona - like and hour outside, I believe.
