Spain: Madrid-Pamplona-Barcelona
hello, im traveling to Spain at the end of August and have the following Itinerary in mind:
Fly into Madrid
Madrid 2 days
Toledo - day trip
drive to Pamplona 2 or 3 days
day trip to Bilbao
day trip to San Sebastian
Drive to Barcelona 4-5 days
Fly out of Barcelona
I was thinking to go to Valencia instead of Pamplona area but i dont think it will be as good.
Anyone sees any issues with this?

Many Spanish cities are combinations of old and new, but few in such a cutting edge way as Valencia. http://www.spain.info/en/que-quieres.../valencia.html
Valencia was well on its way to become the most avant-garde city in Spain when the economical crisis hit the country in 2008, and the city and the region has taken many especially hard hits the past few years given the many enormous projects. But very well worth a visit, even though many of the most ambitious projects has gone bancrupt. http://articles.latimes.com/2013/feb...encia-20130204
The upside: culture, architecture, food, nightlife

And the excellent Mercado Central! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3sLHPjkpNE

"even though many of the most ambitious projects has gone bankrupt." Yes, and now Calatrava is being sued by the city for shoddy construction.
Since you're planning on driving Madrid-Pamplona-San Sebastian, I would drive from Madrid to Bilbao for one day, then on to San Sebastian-Donostia before arriving in Pamplona, where you can spend a couple of days enjoying one of Spain's most progressive and green cities.

You can easily spend two to three days on the road from Pamplona to Barcelona. There is more than enough to see and do along the way.
With only two days set aside for Madrid, Toledo would be a push. And yes, on this trip I would skip Valencia.
