Southern Germany drive driving itinerary help

Jump to last reply

Hello all and I hope you are having a great week so far!

Years ago I planned an extended Europe trip and the people in different forums were so kind and helpful I wanted to ask for help once again :) My mom, sister and I are going to Amsterdam/Prague/Germany/Copenhagen in September. We are renting a car to drive around the southern part of Germany and we'll be there 9/28/16 - 10/6/16. We are arriving by bus from Prague to Regensburg 9/27 at night and picking up the car in Regensburg 9/28. We are returning the car at the airport in Munich on 10/6. We love it all, of course, and so on first experiences sometimes we like to do a bit of everything even if we have to sometimes move quickly... I've been working on the following route including architecture, castles, and landscape to have a taste of all these things. Was wondering if you could take a look and comment if I'm perhaps missing things I should not be missing, or if I'm crazy to think I can do it all in the days alloted? Or any comments whatsoever... thank you so very much!

Another thing I wanted to ask is... we want to take a ride on a cable car and were tossing between Tegelberg and Zugspite... we had kind of settled for Tegelberg, but figured I'd ask you guys... thoughts?

9/29 Regensburg

We are driving back a bit cause using day time to visit Hohenzollern and since it closes early we can go back to Tubingen and pm walk around in pretty town since it’s Saturday
10/2 Lichtenstein Castle (grounds only)
Stop by Ulmer Munster since we pass close by
Neuschwanstein Castle and go to Marienbrücke bridge
Tegelberg cable car
10/3 Wieskirche

Ettal Abbey
Mittenwald
10/4 Bayrischzell- Berchtesgaden Alpine road drive

Thank you very very much!!
